The idea for this comic was scribbled down several months ago, long before we thought of the previous comic, “Greys in the Hall“. As Vince was drawing his nice suburban hallway we realised that both comics dealt with a similar idea, albeit from different perspectives, so we decided to post them sequentially.
“Greys in the Hall” plays with the idea that The Greys become aware of the reader spying on them. One Grey talks directly to the reader, such that if we were working for TV or theatre we’d be “breaking the fourth wall“. Of course, having broken something, the least we could do is try to repair it. So with this comic the fourth wall is now intact again, and we can carry on safe in the knowledge that The Greys are, once again, oblivious to our voyeuristic presence.

G: It's your fault!
G: Sure, I'm the one who broke it - but only because you were tempting me
G: Now the captain says it's me that's got to fix it…

;-)…i love the greys….
omg i have a strange sense that this was in a sesame street book i read when i was a young tyke. i just had a flash of grover in a hardhat building a brick wall.
You may well be right – it’s a fairly obvious joke when you think about it, so I wouldn’t be surprised to find that someone else has used it too. But I’ve never read a Sesame Street book in my life (it’s not such a common franchise over here in the UK), so I’m pretty certain I didn’t “steal” it from there 😀
