[Panel 1: Elvie is with a couple of friends]
Friend 1: You've made a typo in your GitHub username.
Elvie: No, That's intentional. Some research suggests that code commits are more likely to be accepted from a man than a woman.
[Panel 2: Friend 1 is putting an Elvis-style wig and sunglasses on Elvie, whilst friend 2 is holding an Elvis jumpsuit up]
Friend 1: Then you'd better put this on -- in case you're needed on a teleconference!
[Note: The series title also says 'Elvis' rather than 'Elvie']

Very apt. I originally thought Elvie was named for the VI clone elVIs rather than the initials of Linux Voice
Hah! I was aware of the text editor, but it never even entered my mind either when naming Elvie, or when writing this strip. It’s always fascinating to see how other people interpret our words, characters and comic strips.
