This strip first appeared in issue #227 of Linux (Pro) Magazine. Like the previous cartoon it was also inspired by my day job as a web application developer – in this case the familiar moment when you notice a blindingly obvious problem in some code you’ve just pushed, and want to get ahead of it before anyone else spots it and thinks you’re an idiot. This usually happens at least once or twice a week.

[Panel 1: Elvie is using a bullhorn to shout orders at a friend. He's in the foreground looking hot and sweaty]

Elvie: Pull!!! Push!!! Commit!!!

[Panel 2: A woman enters the room, dressed in a leotard, leggings and legwarmers. The view reveals that Elvie's friend is working on a laptop.]

Woman: Oh, sorry! I thought this was a workout class.

Elvie: No… we're just trying to push some fixes up to a git repo before anyone spots our buggy code!
